The Expo showcased over 150 innovations from industry, healthcare and agriculture. It got an overwhelming response from the people of Pune, with an expected volume of over 0.5 million visitors over 2 days. Dr. Jonathan Pillai, who presented the BxOne system, which integrates our proprietary BioScoop(TM) and BxSeal(TM) technologies, represented IndioLabs. The innovation was well received by physicians and the visitors alike. IndioLabs also presented our business plan at the Sandbox session to early investors in the medical technology space.
IndioLabs presented the BxOne™ Biopsy device with two novel technologies ‘BioScoop’ and ‘BxSeal’ at the 7th Indian Medtech Summit, held at New Delhi on December 7th in the presence of top delegates from government bodies, multinational companies and research institutions across the world. The members hugely appreciated the identified unmet need and the technologies invented. Prof. M. C. Mishra, Director- AIIMS, recommended extending these technologies to other organs for the benefit of patients.
The License Agreement for transfer of these technologies was executed by Dr. Purnima Sharma, MD, BCIL and Mr. Siraj Bagwan, Founder and Managing Director, Indio Labs Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore in the presence of Prof. K. Vijayraghavan, Secretary, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, New Delhi, Government of India, Dr. Balram Bhargava – Executive Director SIB, Prof. of Cardiology at AIIMS, Dr. Alok R. Ray – Head of Centre for Biomedical Engineering and Mr. Tetali Murali Krishna Reddy – Chairman, Omya Healthcare Ltd.
Empresario is the annual Business Plan competition organized by E-Cell. The participants get mentored by some top-notch professionals in the field from all over the world. BioScoop was represented by Dr. Jagdish Chaturvedi and Siddhartha Joshi.
